   Not every Jew in the US, or even in Brooklyn, is wealthy. Those that are can come by their wealth through any number of professions. Some are doctors or lawyers or accountants. Some own businesses. It is common among those who do own businesses to hire their relatives, so as to help the family share in their success. Among the common factors among successful American Jewry are respect for family, education and hard work. Of course, these traits are not unique among Jews.

   As far as Syrian jews go, I think the wealth you speak of has more to do with the Syrian culture than the fact they are jews.
   Someone in their family was likely a fairly recent immigrant who opened some type of business and managed it well. They probably employed family members whom they brought over, possibly one of the family members even gave them a loan to start a business, or all of them chipped in to start it, and they worked hard and saved until they could afford nice things and send their kids to college, and the kids probably did well because of a high emphasis on education, and got good jobs themselves.
   There was a Syrian christian who worked at a liqour store near my house. He worked 70 hours a week and lived in what was essentially a slum, but he didn’t own the business, and was really just happy to be here.

   I was a bit disappointed by some angry allegations towards russian jews.

   America is a country that strongly values intellectualism, and Jews, who long were forbidden to own land, happen to have those values instilled in their (our) culture from an early age. So we lucked out a bit. if this were about farming in Alabama, we would be less lucky, as we were never really used to that, being forbidden to own land. But as we were forced into strictly intelelctual pursuits for hundreds of years, we got practice.

   To the asker: how do NON Jews in wealthy areas of America make so much money? Why are you singling out Jews?

   First of all,they ARE GREAT STUDENTS,get it?doctors,lawyers etc.The work,work and when they are tired,do some more work.If you and your family do the same,you will see the results.

    the whole honest truth they’re frugal (cheap) i know growing up jewish that my dad saved alot we never ran into hard times because of that and my dad has alot of money
