This is part two of two 10 minute pieces. This video contains a great performance, as well as a first person account of the entire experience of going to a concert. My friend Nick and I headed in to Boston on December 3rd 2007 to see if we could get a decent deal on scalped tickets to a sold out show. As I often do, I bought along my small portable camera. I had recently purchased a high def Canon TX1. This camera has a decent 10 x zoom, it shoots in Hi- def, and it has stereo sound. It is also small enough to sneak past security on the way in to a show. We got two tickets for a fair price after dealing with a few questionable scalpers. We made sure to keep our blood alcohol level at a satisfactory level. We saw a great show that included both an acoustic first set, intermission, and an electric second set. I apologize to the viewer for the shaky quality of the video. I was sitting in the back of the hall, and had to use the full lenght of the zoom. Also, I had to be carefull of the watchfull eyes of security. On several occasions, I was caught filming, and told to shut the camera off. At one point, security threatened to kick me out. This is guerilla film making. The best part of it is taking the risk to get precious video of a great artist, and then share it on Youtube. I'm glad that I have a chance to do that. Enjoy. TJ Welch |
